Energy Trust ENERGY STAR® Retail Program
The Energy Trust Products program has established one of the most successful residential appliance and lighting programs in Oregon. The program offers incentives on residential ENERGY STAR clothes washers, refrigerators and freezers, refrigerator and freezer recycling, as well as consumer buydowns on ENERGY STAR lighting.
This long-running market transformation program supports the increase of ENERGY STAR qualified products and manufactured housing. Utility-funded since 2004, the premium efficiency clothes washer incentive program, Savings with a Spin, has contributed over $6 million in incentives and saved over 10 million kWh achieving a meaningful economic and environmental impact for Oregonians. Since 2008, the premium efficiency new refrigerator and freezer incentive program, Savings in the Fridge, has contributed over $350,000 in incentives and saved over 650,000 kWh. In addition, since 2005, the ENERGY STAR Manufactured Housing program has supported manufactured housing retailers with education, market awareness, incentives, outreach, and training.
