Community Engagement

When implementing residential energy efficiency programs, PECI places strong emphasis on educating and engaging retailers, contractors, and residential customers at a local level. By localizing our efforts, we’re able to break through potential barriers and increase program participation.

Marketing and Merchandising
We work with retailers to ensure energy-efficient products and appliances are effectively promoted. We design point-of-purchase materials, hold contests, and create educational materials for end-use customers.

Community Events
PECI extends the reach of its programs by participating at local events such as home shows, farmers markets and community association meetings. We also develop campaigns to localize our incentive programs and bring them to the community level. Classroom education and contests are effective ways to create the next generation of energy champions.

Trade Ally Trainings
Retailers, contractors, builders, real estate agents and energy auditors all partner with PECI to implement our residential programs. We develop and lead local trainings for our trade ally partners, equipping them with the necessary skills and program qualifications to ensure lasting savings and positive customer experiences.

Specialized Materials
PECI develops specialized educational and marketing materials for targeted, hard-to-reach markets such as rural customers and non-English speakers.
