Consumer Electronics
It’s no secret we now live in a digital world. Consumer electronics account for roughly 10% of a home’s energy use, but that number is expected to rise to nearly 25% by 2030. PECI works with manufacturers, vendors and retailers to ensure that the most energy-efficient consumer electronics are incorporated into our residential programs.
Consumer Electronics Incentives
PECI programs offer incentives on energy-efficient consumer electronics such as flat panel TVs, personal computers, audio/visual equipment and cable boxes. By increasing the affordability of these products, we’re adjusting the landscape so consumers see energy efficiency as the obvious choice.
Market Research
As more energy-efficient household products become available, PECI is among the first to promote their benefits. Our market research informs our program offerings, helping our clients take advantage of new ways to generate energy savings.
Consumer Education
As the penetration of smart phones and other hand-held electronics increases, consumers may be unaware of the number of devices they plug in. Or how much energy they draw. PECI incorporates plug load education into many of our programs, as an essential element of whole home energy management. Learn more about our focus on training and community engagement.
