PECI Teams with Community Energy Project to Bridge the Gap
This evening, hundreds of Oregonians will come together to celebrate and show their support for the work of Portland’s Community Energy Project (CEP).
For 32 years, the CEP has been helping people maintain healthier and more livable homes as well as control their energy costs and consumption. Tonight’s event, a live auction and social gala named Bridge the Gap, aims to bring together the communities that are impacted by and are aligned behind the work of the CEP. A long-time supporter of the CEP, PECI is a presenting sponsor of the event.
“PECI is proud to play a key role in this benefit event celebrating the Community Energy Project,” said PECI Executive Director Phil Welker. “The CEP has been dutifully serving this community for more than three decades and their mission of empowering people to live in healthier and more energy efficient homes is closely aligned with our own.”
The CEP fulfills its mission by offering education, hands-on training, and distribution of weatherization, water conservation, and lead poisoning prevention materials. It also provides direct weatherization and water conservation services to seniors and people with disabilities.
Bridge the Gap takes place tonight from 6:00 – 9:00pm at the Kiernan Community Center in NE Portland. Tickets are still available. For more information, visit www.communityenergyproject.org/bridge.
