NCBC is proud to be included as a NIBS endorsed event.
“The National Institute of Building Sciences is pleased to announce its support for NCBC this year,” Earle Kennett, Chief Operating Officer, said. “The Institute has promoted Total or Whole Building Commissioning for a decade, especially in the Enclosure Commissioning field. We believe both the BCA and NCBC offer the industry a great opportunity to bring all the commissioning disciplines and process together and encourage the wide spread adoption of this emerging and important expertise.”
The Southeast Chapter of the BCA (SERBCA) is offering a hands-on pre-conference program titled “The Next Step in Building Performance Verification: Automated On-going Commissioning”.
As buildings get increasingly more automated, so do the tools that help evaluate and manage building energy requirements. These automated tools analyze system performance, identify sub-optimal operation, and monetize the cost of poor energy performance.
Representatives from three manufacturers, M2M, SCIenergy and Viridity will convene to share knowledge about commissioning software tools and how they support the on-going commissioning process. Then attendees will have the opportunity to see product demonstrations from each of these vendors in a small group format. Finally, everyone will reconvene for a lively panel discussion on the pros and cons of these tools and examples of how these technologies have been utilized in buildings.
