Warranty Period Cx: The Burn Factor

Occasionally the commissioning authority is required to manage a week-long performance or burn-in period after construction ends, but prior to occupancy. Scott Nelson and Karl Stum’s presentation will describe typical performance period and burn-in requirements, how they affect the construction and commissioning process, and how the commissioning provider can suggest changes to the requirements during design to make them more realistic. Using two recent projects as examples, the presenters will demonstrate how to best manage the performance period to ensure success and timeliness.
