Owner/Operator Involvement in Cx

This joint session explores the advantages of getting building owners and operators involved in the commissioning process. Using the Wake County Public School System as an example, Gretchen Coleman will demonstrate how owner involvement can lead to lower commissioning project costs, better performance by contractors and, ultimately, an informed owner. Similarly, Kent Barber will convey the benefits of including building operators in the commissioning process. Systems Manual training provided by the commissioning agent can facilitate efficient turnover of a new building to the owner's operating staff. This training can also aid occupants’ acceptance and appreciation of the new building.
