While there are numerous guidelines and recommended standards for commissioning systems inside a building, commissioning standards for the structure’s enclosure are just emerging and poorly integrated with current commissioning procedures. Rob Kistler will expound on the history of building envelope commissioning and discuss why there isn’t a broadly recognized method for this process. Kistler will open the conversation and explore how best to develop a pathway for commissioning the building enclosure as part of a total building commissioning process.
