Best Practices and Guidelines in Existing Building Cx

Proposed guidelines and current best practices for existing building commissioning are the focus for this session. ASHRAE member Rick Casault will share information on two proposed new guidelines, opening discussion for content recommendations and public review of the guidelines. Casault will highlight the differences and similarities of the proposed ASHRAE guidelines for the commissioning of existing buildings and the already-published ASHRAE building commissioning process guidelines. Building Commissioning Association At-Large Director Mark Miller will impart a high-level overview of the recently published document, “Best Practices in Existing Building Commissioning.” Miller will review the process utilized to develop the document and discuss demonstration projects that successfully employed the BCA Best Practices approach.
