Building Tune-Up and Operations (BTO) Program
PECI worked with the Energy Trust of Oregon, Inc. to implement the Building Tune-Up and Operations (BTO) Program. A unique offering in the Northwest, the Program strove to improve the operations of commercial facilities in Oregon by helping to reduce energy usage and increase the efficiency of mechanical equipment, lighting and control systems in existing buildings.
The BTO Program offered two distinct services:
1. Annual boiler tune-ups over a three-year period
2. Whole-building tune-ups and retrocommissioning
In 2006-2007, the Program sought to save approximately 300,000 therms of natural gas and 6,700,000 kilowatt hours of electricity. Retrocommissioning projects were completed in 2007, and the final round of boiler tune-ups will be complete in 2008.
