A piece of advice once given to Diane about choosing a career was something she took to heart: “Whatever work you do, you’ll end up spending a good deal of time thinking and talking about it.” To which her thoughts became “What, then, am I going to be talking about?” She found out. After spending times in wastewater and high-tech industries, she became interested in topics affecting scarce resources, and that’s what she’s been talking about ever since.
At PECI, Diane not only loves the level of intellectual creativity and fast pace, but the opportunity for individual growth. It was this approach that allowed her to work and grow at a level she desired. Beginning as Senior Program Manager, she applied her previous skill-set to the energy efficiency field, and worked her way straight into her role today as Director.
Diane’s exceptional capabilities in management, analysis, marketing, and program implementation combined with problem solving and working with outside organizations to deliver results serves PECI well. Her career includes public policy and private sector experiences, allowing her to synthesize the best tactics and approaches for energy efficiency program implementations. She is particularly adept at creating new program designs which enable the introduction of new energy saving technologies into the market and structuring a team for long-term success.
An avid outdoor aficionado, when she’s not at work Diane is enjoying Oregon’s great landscape with her dog, or busy in her garden.
